The FT8DMC was founded 12.july 2017 by Jo Engelbrecht, OE6VIE and Hannes Grünsteidl, OE1SGU , after recognising the fast growth and the need for a club for ft8. Our aim is to provide a worldwide meeting point and platform for users of ft8 and similar modes, especially for newcomers and less-experienced amateur radio operators an swls.

Within only 2 days, we already had more than 100 members and the new award programme has been launched shortly after. Now we count more than 16000 members from over 140 different countries. Everyone with an open mind and interest for ft8 is welcome to join our club. For us ft8 is a valuable addition to the other established modes in amateur radio. We also see ft8 as a chance for those challenged to cope with various difficulties modern society brings. Many of our members are all-rounders and ft8 is a new challenge for them.

All ft8dmc members are eligible to participate in various club’s activities and award programmes.

At the moment more than 200 different awards are available and so far more than 1 million awards have been issued.

All our team-members (representatives and award managers) are volunteers. We do not have any financial interest.

QRZ was founded in 1992 by Fred Lloyd, AA7BQ as a spinoff of what was once called the "Callsign Project", a cooperative effort designed to obtain and distribute FCC database tapes. The "Callsign Project" was born on the internet newsgroup rec.ham-radio (later rec.radio.amateur.misc), and it's initial sponsor was Rusty, Carruth, N7IKQ, who eventually turned it over to Fred when he became unable to continue the effort. Ежемесячный журнал, посвящённый вопросам любительской радиосвязи. Издается в США Американской лигой радиолюбителей (ARRL) с декабря 1915 г. по сей день.

Название взято из международного Q-кода и означает «сообщение для всех радиолюбителей». «QST» - одно из первых в мире периодических изданий по этой тематике и старейшее из существующих.

Медаль № 54

Массовый ежемесячный научно-технический журнал в России, посвящённый радиолюбительству, домашней электронике, аудио/видео, компьютерам и телекоммуникациям.

Предшественники журнала:

- Журнал «Радиолюбитель», первый выпуск вышел 15 августа 1924 года и выходил раз в две недели.

- Журнал «Радио всем», первый выпуск вышел в сентябре 1925 года. В середине 1930 года был переименован в «Радиофронт».

- В конце 1930 года произошло слияние редакций журналов «Радиофронт» и «Радиолюбитель». В дальнейшем журнал выходил под названием «Радиофронт» до июля 1941 года.

- Первый послевоенный номер журнала вышел в 1946 году под названием «Радио».

Журнал награждён Орденом Трудового Красного Знамени.
